About the Camp

Over 300,000 girls and boys have been given the wonderful opportunity of camping since the Rotary Youth Camp opened in 1925.  This camping experience is free of any cost to the children and the sponsoring organizations.

Located in a beautiful setting on the southeastern shore of Lake Jacomo, the entire 26-acre youth camp is available through the year for camping.  Facilities include twelve spacious cabins, hot water showers, convenient cooking areas and shelters.  Numerous hiking trails, play and sports areas are available year-round.  A quarter-mile long paved nature trail is available for those in wheelchairs.

The Rotary Youth Camp serves the youth of Greater Kansas City without regard to race, color, national origin, age, sex or disability.
